Michael Catalano was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1952 and grew up in San Jose and Santa Cruz, California. He learned tracking and an appreciation of nature as part of the California Ecology Corps in the early 1970s. He earned a ministerial degree from Berean College (now Global University) in 1987. He was editor of Melting Trees Review, a poetry journal from 1995-1998. He has had over 400 poems published worldwide including France, Guam, South Africa, Canada, and Great Britain. He has three children (Abe, Isabella Suzanne, and Tammy) and three grandchildren (Julius, Isaac, and Yara). He currently lives in Aromas, California. | ![]() |
